Harry hopped down from his perch on the large green rumbling garbage truck before the squealing pads clamped down on the large rotors could force the massive vehicle to a standstill.
“Look at this Donny! Can you believe someone would throw that out?”
“As a matter of fact, I can,” Donny said. “Looks like trash to me.”
“Not to me! This will go perfect over the couch. Once it’s cleaned up that is.”
“You always do this Harry. Just toss the thing. You may be a hoarder, ya know?”
“Naw. Just help me get it in the cab, will ya?”
I have been a little MIA the past few weeks. With everything going on, you could say that my patterns got off. I haven’t been writing for the past couple weeks for one reason or another. I could make excuses but when I get right down to it, it’s just me not putting in the work. It’s not the first time, probably won’t be the last either.
Anyway, it feels good to be writing again. When I saw the photo prompt Wednesday, I knew right away what I wanted to write. It’s a bit of a shame it took me ’til Sunday to do it, but at least it is done. I hope you enjoy my little 100 word story. See you next week!
#FridayFictioneers is a weekly blog link up hosted by Rochelle over at RochelleWisoff.com, where our gracious host challenges us to fathom a story based on that weeks photo prompt in just 100 words. Thanks Rochelle! You should totally check it out and perhaps try your hand at your very own 100 word story!
