#WeekendCoffeeShare – Thanksgiving and Looking Ahead

If we were having coffee, we would be sipping some nice Seattle’s Best coffee, listening to music from this little Dot thing we picked up cause it was on sale, and watching a little football. Wow, look at us, we’re multi-taskers!

Right now, Radioactive is playing. Who knows what comes next? Alexa has it on some playlist, so I sure don’t.

Hopefully, you had a great Thanksgiving (if you’re American anyway)! We did, but I’m happy to have it behind me. Now if we can get through Christmas, we’ll be able to start all over again.

Did you do any Black Friday shopping? I stayed up late the night before Thanksgiving to get my wife something online. Mission accomplished on that front. As far as Black Friday, we slept in, I got in a little run and then a bike ride before we went out to eat and do a little shopping. I’ve never been a Black Friday shopper, but by the time we got out (5 pm before ever leaving home) it was nothing too crazy. That’s when we got the Dot.

I suppose it’s that time of year again to start looking forward to next year. Is it too early for that? Maybe, but maybe not. I need to figure out what kind of goals pertaining to fitness and writing I’m going to set. They need to be realistic and ambitious at the same time, and that can be tricky.

So I’ll think on those things and maybe get us another cup while chipping away a little more on a story I’ve been working on.

Glad you could stop by! Would you like a cup to go? I’ll be here all week, so feel free to stop by anytime.

#WeekendCoffeeShare is an informal weekly link-up hosted now by Eclectic Alli that serves as something of a mind-dump for the week. If there are typos and what-not found here, I apologize, but mind-dump. I don’t do a lot of editing here as I like that it is more a stream of consciousness type post, normally written while drinking coffee, listening to music, and reflecting on the week gone by.

Post your own Weekend Coffee Share here!

  1. Hi Russel,

Great to see you back. We seem to have a light turnout for the holiday weekend, which is understandable, but also regrettable.
I agree with your point about health goals being appropriate for the new year. I need to find a path that works and works for me.
I also hope to get more polished and regular about my writing progress.
I hope you and your family have a great Christmas season coming up.
I also hope we get to chat a few more times before we roll out 2020.

    1. Thanks for stopping by Gary! We’ll probably have more folks drinking coffee next week when things are a little more normal. I’ll try to see you then, if not before!

  2. Thank you for that delicious coffee! It sounds smart to not rush out early for Black Friday! I’m not much of shopper, but of course…from time to time you actually need something. I did get a new warmer hat, and new warmer gloves, I did need that! We are going to a Christmas Market in a couple hours, but my thought is to only by delicious food and drinks, and socialise. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
