#WeekendCoffeeShare – 2019/08/10

If we were having coffee, we have just finished eating breakfast for dinner, and now we’re sitting around finishing off the coffee. It was a good dinner, blueberry pancakes with maple syrup, an onion and cheddar omelet, and of course, coffee.

I mentioned last week that this week was set to be a busy one, and it definitely was. We were teaching a class at work which put me going in an hour early everyday and staying late most of those days. People don’t realize how hard and tiring it is to teach and facilitate a class, but wow, it can be tough. I don’t know how our teachers do it for months at a time!

That being said, other facets of life suffered a bit, most notably in the writing department. I tried to do a little, and that’s exactly what happened. A little. I’ll just say it was frustrating and leave it at that. Perhaps my time management skills need some tweaking.

Today was a day off! This morning, my daughter and I ran a little over 2 miles. She’s been super busy with school this summer and has been out of training, so it was great to get out there with her. Then, the wife and I headed out on the boat for a few hours and enjoyed the day. It was really hot, a 107 degree F heat index, and the water was great! Once home again, I went out for another 4 mile run to cap off the evening.

Looking forward to the next two weeks, there are two more classes to teach and so I worry about my writing time to come. Hopefully, I’ll be able to carve out a little more time in the coming weeks. I’ll let you know how it goes!

I wish everyone a great weekend, and a great week to come! Thanks for stopping by!

#WeekendCoffeeShare is an informal weekly link-up hosted now by Eclectic Alli that serves as something of a mind-dump for the week. If there are typos and what-not found here, I apologize, but mind-dump. I don’t do a lot of editing here as I like that it is more a stream of consciousness type post, normally written while drinking coffee, listening to music, and reflecting on the week gone by.

You can join in on the fun by writing your own coffee share and posting it here!

  1. Hey Russel. I’ve been a teacher for longer than anything else and agree – it is exhausting – but in the best of ways. I’ve been thankful for every day I had a class to lead, and always slept great for having made the investment in someone else.

    1. It’s a great feeling when things go right, that’s for sure. And they normally do. We have fun with it, but it’s so much more work than I would have ever thought.

Thanks for stopping by Gary. Have a great week!
