If we were having coffee, we would be watching NFL playoff football and drinking some nice Seattle’s Best Breakfast Blend. Never mind that it’s nowhere near breakfast. I’ve also got a few different teas and some apple cider if that’s more your thing. What can I get you?
I’d tell you that it was a pretty good week as far as writing goes, with words being written almost every day. Friday is typically an off day for writing, as it tends to be busy at work and lots of times a night out for dinner or a movie. I’ve been writing during lunch at work, then coming home and trying to get a little more done at some point in the evening. With all the rain we’ve been having, there’s little else to do anyway.
There needs to be some editing done next week. There’s a couple of short stories that I would like to submit somewhere (don’t know where yet), but that can’t be done without some polish. It is hard to make yourself edit though, am I right? No one really likes editing, do they?
As far as reading goes, I’m getting through book 7 of King’s Dark Tower series. It’s the last book and I’ve really enjoyed them. There were a couple of slow points along the way, but overall, really good. I suppose that in a series this long, there’s bound to be a slow spot or two. In other reading, the Audible type, I finished “Patient Zero” by Jonathan Maberry and started the “Steamborn” trilogy by Eric B. Asher. Audible was having a two for one sale and I had finished a book and couldn’t turn that offer down so I took a chance on some new stuff. While “Steamborn” isn’t my favorite, Patient Zero was great. And “Steamborn” is still good, so I’ll count it a win, win.
On a completely different note, tonight is the first night of Supercross. It’s over on the west coast, so it won’t be on until 10, and therefore a late night if I manage to stay up to watch. We’ll watch some at least. I picked up some kettle corn from the grocery store today for the occasion!
I guess I should let you go. Thanks for stopping by for coffee, and take a cup with you if you’d like. Hope you have a great week!
#WeekendCoffeeShare is an informal weekly link-up that serves as something of a mind-dump for the week. If there are typos and what-not found here, I apologize, but mind-dump. I don’t do a lot of editing here as I like that it is more a stream of consciousness type post, normally written while drinking coffee, listening to music, and reflecting on the week gone by.
It is hosted by Eclectic Alli. Check out her post for the week and maybe post a share of your own!
You’re right: editing is not fun! Good luck with getting done, though, so you can submit the stories.

Most welcome Kathleen! I’ve not heard of Cell. I’ve been giving some thought to checking out Pet Semetary since the movie’s getting a redo though.
Have a great week!
