#WeekendCoffeeShare – UFC Moving?

If we were having coffee, I’d be having cider.  Yes, again this week.  To be fair, I’ve been drinking coffee all day, so maybe it’s time for a change.  The pot is there, ready to brew the morning’s coffee and can be turned on if you’d like.

The fights are on TV.  From all the talk, this may be the last UFC card on Fox.  Since I don’t keep close track of all that, I Googled and found that the UFC is moving over to ESPN.  Maybe it’s a good thing, maybe not.  I’ll wait and see.

I started this week off good, writing at least some everyday through Tuesday.  Wednesday was a super long day at work and a wash for writing.  Thursday was a tired day, but I managed to get my weekly #FridayFictioneers post up.  I wrote about a retired man who had a lot to do.  It is titled Retirement.

My daughter and I went to the bouldering gym today to do some climbing.  It was great fun, but I can tell that I haven’t been working out like I should be.  On top of that, my hamstring bothered me all day.  Even without running for what seems like forever, the hamstring still tightens up whenever I try to do anything.  So I rolled it a bunch once home, trying to make it feel better.  It didn’t really work.  Maybe the chiropractor should get a visit next week.

Going into next week, I’m looking forward to some sort of regular workout schedule and a more regular writing schedule.  It’s going to be a challenge.  We’ll see how it goes.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you again next week!

#WeekendCoffeeShare is an informal weekly link-up that serves as something of a mind-dump for the week.  If there are typos and what-not found here, I apologize, but mind-dump.  I don’t do a lot of editing here as I like that it is more a stream of consciousness type post, normally written while drinking coffee, listening to music, and reflecting on the week gone by.

It is hosted by Eclectic Alli. Check out her post for the week and maybe post a share of your own!

  1. The climbing sounds like a lot of fun! I should try to find a climbing place nearby. I bet my daughter would like that. Thanks for the idea, and the coffee!

Cheers to a great new week!

    1. You guys would love it! And if you can find a bouldering place, the walls aren’t super high so you don’t have to tie off and all that. Just drag a mat underneath where you are climbing and send it!

      Have a great week!

  2. Hi Russel. Bummer that your hamstring is not playing nice. That has to bug you. On the other hand, I was glad you got some boldering in. I did that a lot in caving and hiking when I was much younger and it was a great way to enjoy the world. There was no such thing as a gym for it in those days so I was stuck using the Sierra Mountains in Eastern Calif. Great memories that I’ll never regret making. All the best.

    1. Thanks Gary! Climbing in the mountains would be awesome. I, however, live in the flatlands so I take my climbing where I can get it.

Hope you have a great week!
