If we were having coffee, I would apologize for the venue just before apologizing for standing you up on our coffee date last week. We find ourselves in yet another hotel lobby this evening, but the coffee is pretty good. (At least it’s hot.) It was the best I could do. All the coffee shops within walking distance closed early, except Dunkin of which I am not a fan. So here we are. Go ahead and grab a cup and I’ll refresh mine.
There. Now that we’re all coffeed up, I can tell you that we’re listening to my writing playlist, consisting of lot of moody emotional music from the likes of Alanis Morissette, Maren Morris, and others. I like the slow moody music while writing, Jimmy Buffett while cooking, and a mix of stuff at other times. Of course, with Audible eating up my drive time, I barely listen to music if I’m not writing or cooking, so…
Like I said earlier, I was absent last week. All told, I went a week and a half without writing. I’m not proud of it, but it happened. We’re not talking about what happened during that week and a half other than to say that I’m glad it’s passed. Let’s just leave it there.
So far this week, well last week I guess, I did a little outlining of a story I’ve been kicking around in my head and wrote a 100 word story for #FridayFictioneers called Getting Down. So that’s something. Not exactly what I want to report, but something.
I’m still not running. It’s been 7 weeks. Ugh! I beginning to think I’ll never run again at this point. I abandoned the 100 burpees a day challenge at eleven days when my calf swole up like a balloon. (And here I was thinking I was close to running again.) The frustrating thing is that I’ve done all I know to do to let the thing heal, but it is taking forever. For. Ever.
I suppose that’s all for now. I’m going to sit here for a while drinking coffee and writing. Hopefully, you all have great weeks and get lots of stuff done. I’ll see you next week!
#WeekendCoffeeShare is an informal weekly link-up that serves as something of a mind-dump for the week. If there are typos and what-not found here, I apologize, but mind-dump. I don’t do a lot of editing here as I like that it is more a stream of consciousness type post, normally written while drinking coffee, listening to music, and reflecting on the week gone by.
It is hosted by Eclectic Alli. Check out her post for the week and maybe post a share of your own!
I like your mind dump approach to coffee share, I should take that approach so I don’t miss as many! I know the frustration of not being able to run. I really hope you get back.

Thanks for the coffee, it did it’s job! I sure hope you can get back to running soon. I can tell that it’s something you’re passionate about.
It’s funny how the right music is so important. This morning I was craving to hear a singer (Auf Der Maur) that I haven’t listened to in ten years. I was asking myself why, and it hit me, that I used to listen to her while working out at the gym. I was at the gym this morning, for the first time in ten years, when I started to crave her music. Flashback ten years…feels like a lifetime ago. Have an awesome day!

Thanks! Music can definitely be a powerful thing. I’ve not heard of Auf Der Maur. Perhaps I should check out her music.
