If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I am so very frustrated with this Jeep Patriot that I bought a few years ago for my daughter. What we thought would be a good vehicle for her has turned out poorly.
So here I am on a beautiful Saturday morning sitting in the service lobby, but there is coffee, so we may as well help ourselves while we wait.
It’s a rear wheel sensor that’s causing the problem this time. (Doesn’t it seem that there are too many sensors on cars these days.) I suppose that would be a simple enough fix, but of course they don’t have one here. It’ll be Tuesday before one arrives, so now we wait for my wife to come pick me up.
I just hope that when Tuesday rolls around, it will be fixed and done with. I’m sick of the constant little issues that seem to pop up around every couple of months with this thing.
Besides that though, things are moving along at the speed of life. The week past was a busy one indeed and filled with some tragedy for a family close to us, but I’ll not speak of that here except to say the week was not ideal for writing and leisure pursuits.
I did manage a bit of writing last night, posting my #FridayFictioneers, Moon Bathing, and working a little more on the next episode in my serial, Warriors. That’s it. Hopefully the coming week will provide more time for writing. I’ve got my fingers crossed anyway.
Of course there was no running to speak of as the calf is still healing, but the walking is coming along. The mornings are pretty limpy still, but things loosen up as the day goes along. I’ve just got to be careful not to make too sudden a move because that hurts!
So instead of running, I’ve been in the gym lifting a bit and doing pushups and pullups as much as I can. It’s not my favorite fitness activity, running is, but it has its merits. Perhaps I should do it more often. (At least while too injured to run ; ).)
Well, my wife’s getting close and I’m ready to get out of here, so I’m going to walk outside. It was sure good talking with you. Hope you have a great week!
#WeekendCoffeeShare is an informal weekly link-up that serves as something of a mind-dump for the week. If there are typos and what-not found here, I apologize, but mind-dump. I don’t do a lot of editing here as I like that it is more a stream of consciousness type post, normally written while drinking coffee, listening to music, and reflecting on the week gone by.
It is hosted by Eclectic Alli. Check out her post for the week and maybe post a share of your own!
No fun, hopefully no more car trouble for a while. It’s nice however to read a Coffee Share on location! Hope you’re calf continues to heal and you’re back to normal soon.

I hope that you heal up thoroughly and quickly, so that you can get back to running. That must be a difficult shift in your routines. Also, our car had a bad sensor, and the dealership had to order a part for it. Fortunately, it was still under warranty, and they gave us a loaner car to use until they could get ours put back together. Sympathies!

Thanks! The healing process is taking forever (feels like it anyway), but it’s just going to take lots of time. I’ll guess I’ll just have to wait.
Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks so much Kelly! I’ve quit trying to figure out all the little quirks of WordPress. Glad that it allows comments, and thanks for yours!

I have 2009 Jeep Patriot. Except for a few little issues, an accident, and then a recall debacle, it’s been my best car, ever. I hope your Patriot issues resolve quickly.

Thanks Antoinette! Glad you’re having good luck. It could just be the 08 models that are so bad. I’ve read some bad things online about that year lately. Should’ve done that research beforehand maybe.

Sorry about the trouble with your daughter’s vehicle. That can be so annoying. Cars and trucks should just work.. I hope it’s an easy fix, and that the rest of your weekend was awesome!
