If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that it’s been one long week and I am so happy that the weekend is finally here. I have for your sipping pleasure tonight, coffee, tea, apple cider, and of course water. I think I’ll have a bit of the apple cider while we sit, listen to some music, chat, and just relax a bit.
What’s on? One of my favorite playlists. The Black Crowes, “She Talks to Angels” just finished playing. I’d say that it’s a bit odd that a song of a girl using drugs, presumably heroin, is so moving, but it is.
I hope you’ve had a good week. Mine’s been busy from start to finish with work and various other things. I built some big monkey bars for my daughter and I, modeled after the one we find on the Spartan Race courses that we like to run. Having them to practice on should help on race days when it’s cold and/or wet. I also put a new light up over the dining room table for the wife. She likes it, so that’s good. I’ve got some more to do, so that’s not as good.
So now I’m just looking to get a good night’s sleep and a nice long run tomorrow. It’s hard to say which I’m looking more forward to, the sleeping in, or the run. Maybe both in equal measure. Yeah, let’s go with that.
The weather is turning nice, so the run should be about as perfect as it can be. If it’s not, that’s just because I’ve lost some conditioning over the past few months. Time to get it back!
Bob Segar’s “Turn the Page” is coming on now, so with that thought in mind, I think I’ll turn in for the night. Thanks for stopping by, I’ll see you next week!
#WeekendCoffeeShare is an informal weekly link-up that is now hosted by Eclectic Alli. Check out her post for the week and maybe post a share of your own!
Enjoy your run!

Eleven miles? I’ve tired just reading about it.

Well, that should say,”I’M tired just reading about it,” Sorry about that, but WP won’t let us correct our comments on another person’s site. Anyway, it sounds as though you got your hearts desire for a good day to run, and that’s a blessing.

Thanks for sharing. I checked out that song “She talks to angels”. It’s so sad! My niece died in January had been clean for 2 years. They think it was a heroin overdose.
Found your blog on magic spreadsheet.

Thanks for stopping by, and for your comment Marianne. So sorry to hear about your niece. It is truly tragic that so many fall into the trap of drugs and cannot get out, no matter how hard they try.
Hope you and your family are well.
