#WeekendCoffeeShare – Venting

cappuccino on table

If we were having coffee, I’d offer you a nice cup, freshly brewed of course, or maybe a tea bag to dob in a cup of steaming hot water (if that’s what your into). I’ve had several cups of tea already today, so I think I’ll switch it up and go with the coffee for now.

Another week down and here we are in February. Though it’s too early in the year to say it, it’s true. This year is flying by. Why just yesterday, it was New Year’s. The plans for 2018 are piling up fast with travel and races and all manner of things, and I know already that we’ll be standing on 2019’s doorstep before we even realize it. Such is life.

It pains me at times, that it goes by so fast. I want it to slow a bit, but who am I to ask for that. Gandolf said that it is up to us to make the most of the time we’re given, or some such thing as that. I can’t remember exactly, but hopefully you know what I mean. So that’s what I try to do.

I’ll not lie though. That is a tall task. The problem is that the things that I ‘have’ to do interfere greatly with the things that I ‘want’ to do. It is such a bother, but there’s nothing for it.

It looks like I’m destined to sacrifice a grand amount of sleep this year yet again on the alter of creative endeavors. I’ve done it before, to varying degrees of very little success, and so I think I can do it again.

Other than these normal frustrations that I imagine everyone has, (please, oh please say that it’s not just me) all is well. I’m still here, still chugging slowly along watching the world blur by just outside my window.

Thanks for stopping by and listening to my vent. I do so need that from time to time. I hope you all have a great week. See ya back here soon!

#WeekendCoffeeShare is an informal weekly link-up that is now hosted by Eclectic Alli. Check out her post for the week and maybe post a share of your own!
