If we were having coffee, I’d say that it’s late and that I probably shouldn’t be drinking this as I raise cup to lip and take yet another sip. You would know that this is not the first time that I’ve indulged at too late an hour though, and tell me that I’ll be fine. And you’re probably right about that, by the way.
So, might I get you a cup of something? Coffee, tea, water, or juice? You may as well indulge with me, and follow me down the path of poor nighttime beverage decisions. Don’t worry, I’ll lead the way.
2017 is absolutely flying by. Weeks seem like days, days like minutes, and so on, and so on. I can say though, that the past week was a fairly good one as I did some of the things that I’ve been missing out on lately. Those things included writing a bit, strumming the ole guitar, running, and bike riding.
As far as the writing, I managed to get some story work done as well as some poetry. Two blog post went up early in the week, and though I thought of posting again later, it didn’t happen. I won’t bash you over the head here with links to those post. They are on the home page and I’m sure you know how to scroll if you want to check them out.
As far as the guitar goes, I’m no good at it, but it’s fun to play with. What I know, I mostly taught myself. (I’ve been lucky enough to pick up a couple things from others better than me along the way.) That being said, the guitar is something that I do at home, generally alone, and I’m okay with that. I don’t get that alone time as often as I should nowadays anyhow.
As far as training goes, I managed a little over 14 miles running and a good bike ride of, I think eight. Not sure, but it was a good ride with my daughter who is having trouble fitting in training with all the schoolwork she has right now. I know that it’s frustrating for her, so I get out with her every chance I get.
I’m looking forward to another good week. One with plenty of time to write, strum, ride, and run. My hopes are high and it’s starting out right, so I’ll try to keep it going from now until the week’s end. Now, perhaps I should try to sleep, so that I won’t be quite the zombie at work in the morning. Coffee only goes so far in the a.m.
‘Til next time!
Thanks for reading my #weekendcoffeeshare and listening to my babble. I’ll try to be back next week so that we can do it again. Until then…
