#WeekendCoffeeShare – 06-04-2017

If we were having coffee, I’d say that it has been a pretty good week!  Then I’d offer you some tea or maybe some water if coffee’s not your thing.  I’m sure we can rummage something up for you.

As far as the week past, it was great.  I only had to work two days between getting home from Universal and our trip to Virginia for this weekend’s Spartan Super that we ran Saturday.

We drove to Virginia Thursday night after work so that we could check out some of the sights.  We spent Friday at The Natural Bridge State Park, both in the cavern there and checking out The Natural Bridge itself.

It was a great time!

When race day came, we were up early.  As in 5am early, to get ready, eat, and drive to the race for an 8am start time.  It’s good to be a bit early to get checked in and all without having to be rushed, not to mention having time to warm up at the race site.  After all, you don’t want to go out cold and pull something, so any time spent jogging or stretching around the festival area is time well spent.

Unfortunately, tomorrow sends me back to the real world and a full week of work.  Ugh!  That hurts after the adventures of the past couple weeks, but it’ll be okay.  I’ll be looking forward to the next adventure all week long.
