If we were having coffee, Master Chef Junior would have just gone off and now we would be watching Gotham. Both good shows in their own right. Different, but good. So, grab a cup and fill it with either coffee or tea, sit back, and let’s see what the young Batman is up to.
This week didn’t go quite as planned as far as training was concerned. Things were going quite well to begin with, but toward the end of the week, it kind of fell apart. The funny thing is, I’m not sure what even happened.
All I know is that after the movie (Alien: Covenant), I came home and went to bed just like all was well. Then I woke up. That’s normally a good thing, you know, the waking up, and it still is. Always good to wake up. The problem that morning is that I woke up with a bad pain on the inside of my leg on the morning that I had planned a long run.
One thing that I’ve learned over the years, especially now that I’ve aged quite a bit, is that I need to listen to my body. When it hurts to stand, you probably shouldn’t run. You know, that sort of thing.
So instead, I just got a bicycle ride in. Not my usual workout, but it sufficed for the day, and it seemed to have loosened the leg up a bit. So much so that Sunday, I was able to run. I managed a good four miles Sunday afternoon with little to no pain, so I’m super happy with that.
I’m ready for the week ahead, how ’bout you?

Sorry about your leg pain. It is good to listen to your body. No one knows it better.
