If we were having coffee, I’d hope you like it strong. Tonight, I’m sipping a brew called Seattle’s Best and listening to a little Jimmy Buffett. Ahhhh, life is good, if you like your coffee strong that is. If not, we can add some water or milk or maybe just find you something altogether different. It’s up to you. Anyway, it’s good to be able to relax and talk a little. There hasn’t been a whole lot of that going on lately.
The past week is behind us now, and though I’m not one to wish my time away, I’m glad to let that one go so that we can welcome in this new week with all the optimism we can muster. Last week wasn’t a bad one really, it was just a little busier than I would have liked. Even so, those busy things weren’t that bad either, it’s just that with everything going on, there was next to no time or energy to run or train. My running last week consisted of 30 minutes on a treadmill and that is just not acceptable. As far as strength training, there was nothing outside of pushups and ab-work in the office on lunch breaks. This week will be different.
As a matter of fact, it already is. Earlier today, after Church and lunch, (Chunch) I was able to hit the road for an hour long run that yielded up just a little over six miles. It felt mostly good to be out there, beating down both the pavement and dirt roads around home. I say mostly, because I know that my pace suffered mightily, especially those last couple miles, after that week off. That’s fine though. Life goes on, and the pace will come back. I hope.
I need another cup. How bout you?
There you go. So how was your week? Do tell.
Well, if you have to go, let me fill that cup up once more. Sure, you can take it with you, just be sure to swing by here next weekend so that we can fill it back up. Until then, take care!
Thank you so much for stopping by. It does mean so much that you would come to visit! Here’s to hoping you have a great week, and may God Bless You!
