If we were having coffee, I’d say that I’m just going to have a quick cup of instant and then it’s off to bed for me. I’m sorry, but it’s been a long day and my eyes are extremely heavy tonight. So, we should probably get to talking before I fall out the chair.
Lately, I’ve been thinking about what to do with the blog. Initially, it was focused on writing and some other creative works that I was either working on or would be, but since “the funk” set in, things became more complicated.
By “the funk,” I am referring to my current writing funk that I’ve found myself in. I’m still writing, but a lot of my motivation is gone, especially for fiction. One of the things that I’ve found myself writing about instead during my apparent lack of creativity, is fitness and what I feel is my unique take on the subject.
It’s a different kind of writing, but it is also satisfying, if in a different way, than the fiction. I have enjoyed that writing over the past couple of weeks and I’ve thought about changing things up on the blog as a result. What do you think? Should we talk fitness?
Other than that, I finished up the second book of Brandon Sanderson’s “Stormlight Archive.” It is titled “Words of Radiance,” and it’s a beast of a book, which is why it took me so long to read it. Well that and the fact that I had it in hardcover which made it hard for me to carry around. Really, the thing is over a thousand pages, so I started dedicating my lunch break to it. Some of the best lunch breaks ever!
My next book is “The Fifth Wave,” by Rick Yancy. I’m barely into it, but I’ll let you know how it is later.
Okay then. I’m off to bed. Hope you guys have a great week. We’ll talk again soon!
P.S. If there’s too many typos, I apologize, but I’m going to sleep.
