If we were having coffee, I’d say to hold on just a few moments and that pot will be finished brewing. Ahh, there, now that’s nice. Fresh brewed, hot, and perfect for a cool fall day.

Today is Halloween and it is my kind of holiday. It’s just fun. There is so much to do if you want to, and then if you don’t want to do anything, that’s fine too.

Halloween isn’t one of those holidays where you have to endure or entertain your entire family. You don’t have to break the bank buying gifts for people you don’t see but once a year, coincidentally enough, on gift exchange day either. There is basically no pressure.

My method, and this is bad, is to buy a big bag of candy for the trick or treaters for if and when they show up. This year I went with a jumbo bag of York Peppermint Patties because I love them!  So it’s not a huge deal if we don’t have many trick or treaters because I know what to do with those patties. Don’t you even worry about that. Would you like a couple, I’m sure I can spare them. They go great with coffee.

I guess what I’m saying is that Halloween is that one holiday that you can be yourself. Truly yourself. Dress up and go wild or stay home and be the best introvert you can be. It’s all good.

Just remember to have fun and be safe out there.  And if you find yourself needing a coffee and a peppermint patty, stop on by. I may be able to hook you up with that.
